Still looking into this CBO report on Obamacare. It sounds strange. It appears to be using 10 years of taxation and only 6 or 7 years of actually providing services.

UPDATE:

The CBO Score, As Reported by Steny Hoyer [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

House Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan responds to an NRO query about the news this morning: “The Congressional Budget Office has confirmed that there is currently no official cost estimate. Yet House Democrats are touting to the press — and spinning for partisan gain — numbers that have not been released and are impossible to confirm. Rep. James Clyburn stated he was 'giddy' about these unsubstantiated numbers. This is the latest outrageous exploitation by the Majority — in this case abusing the confidentiality of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office — to pass their massive health care overhaul at any cost.”

This CBO reporting this morning really is remarkable to me — the news is simply what Steny Hoyer says it is. **

Did you see the story about Walgreens refusing new Medicaid patients? Because the government reimburses at a ridiculously low estimate of drug cost, it is impossible to stay in business and continue to invite new Medicaid patients. Refusing to pay the cost of the service does not lower the cost of that service.

I have heard whisperings of a rally this Saturday to KILL THE BILL. Could it be true that our representatives will refuse to listen to us? Their phone lines are jammed for the last 4 days with people calling in to voice their opinion that this bill SHOULD NOT PASS!

I have also heard whisperings of several states considering what they can do to protect their citizens from being subjected to this latest abuse IF the bill actually passes.

Things are hetting up. It could get nasty - and nobody wants it to get nasty.

Thanks to Mike for turning me on to the NRO..

You know when the girls were babies we had Medical Assistance for them.. Well the Dr would give me a perscription for baby tylenol or what ever for when they had shots and I had one pharmacy tell me they wouldnt take my medical assistance card for it because it didnt cost that much to buy it out right and I spent 12 dollars on that damned perscription that medical assistance could have covered and I could have bought a package of diapers with if they woudl have just accepted my dang card.. It sucks when the government and these places get greedy.. That is how I see it and I am glad we are done with MA..

The girls were on medicaid for a short time after we lost our jobs after 9/11. WORST medical and dental care EVER. I would HATE to ever be back on medicaid. The doctors' offices, welfare office - they all treated us like dirt. Then that government dentist put crowns on my youngest's baby teeth. She had just been to see a dentist 6 months before that - no crowns, no cavities, no nothing.

It's a rip off. And the way the government underpays, and some doctors/dentists over treat because they know they'll be able to suck as much out of the government as possible - there are a couple of reasons right there why medical care is so expensive for the rest of us.

Did I mention how much I hated being on government medical care??!!!!!!!
