Yes we have had many die in this war and I am hoping they can come home soon but you just dont know when. We had a girl die that was from Kiel WI last week. They are honouring her tomorrow with the flags at half mast and then doing something in the gymnasium of the high school she attended.

That's sad, Tweetey. I am upset that our military men and women are not getting the support that they need to do the job that needs to be done. Rather than leaving them over there like ducks in a shooting gallery, I say bring them home.
Having said that, I believe that securing that region of the world is very important - and more resources need to be allocated, along with a solid commitment to success, in order to do that properly.

Sooooooooooo thank-ful for all our veterans and our military!! I keep meaning to make it back over to your blog. I've been horrible about blog visiting lately. Its funny though, every time you make a comment at GG's blog and disagree with him, you and I usually agree! I guess us homeschooling Moms (even former ones ;-)) think alike!
As for the tent camping comment you mentioned on my blog, I have a funny story. My husband and I tried to tent camp ONCE with our kids. Something bit me at 2 am, I couldn't go back to sleep so I went and slept in the van. As I said after all the tent camping as a child, I'm now a cabin girl ;-)).

Hi Dee! Thanks for visiting and commenting. I have been pretty bad about visiting myself. I was cleaning up my sidebar - many people I linked to don't blog anymore. I was pleased to see that you are still going strong and it is always nice to see you at Mr. GG's!
I do have a facebook account. I'm not really familiar with how it all works over there. My name is MonicaRose - I THINK it is anyway... I just figured out how to login after several months. I am trying to find people I know now.
