Gingerbread Crackhouse

This thing looks like a Salvador Dali nightmare or something. It was our first EVER gingerbread house, so I'm actually quite happy with it. Atleast it's standing!

Ahhhh. But the Spritz. The Spritz - they are perfect!

We had a nice day in the house, looking at the trees covered in ice. We were cozy in our warm kitchen. Beautiful!

The gingerbread house looks cool. I have never had a spritz cookie. Could you e-mail me the recipe. Thanks if you can when you get a minute.

Your house is amazing! I've tried several times, but have never reached the assembly phase. My gingerbread either cracks or warps. :(

That gingerbread house looks swell for a first go around.

I wish I had a picture of the first one my boys made many years ago. It ended up looking like a bad version of a Vietnamese village hut. But, boy did it ever taste great.

It's a perfect little House for the Troll.

Did you see the white chocolate gingerbread White House?

Yours certainly has more character to it.

Damn, must've been a huge lot of effort in making that house, but from the looks of it the end certainly justifies the means.

Thanks for your comments on my page, Grizzly Mama! I wish more people would get pissed - as you do - about all the antiwar attacks against our fine military service personnel!

The gingerbread's hip, btw. Hope you're having a great December. Ten more days until Christmas.

Take care!

Thanks Tweetey. Spritz are my favorite cookies, I have always used a cookie press for them. I bought an electric one at a flea market for 2 bucks about 8 years ago and it still works like a champ. When I was little my mom's cookie press wasn't electric - - it was a pretty good workout having to use it! I'll email the recipe to you no problemo. Thanks for sending those scarves, I'll email when I receive them!

JC - We've been picking at the house over the last couple of days. lol!

Thanks tshsmom! It really is a crappy house, but thanks for saying it's amazing!

Abouna I'm just happy it's standing - with a little (lot of!) help from that frosting that is now hard as a rock...

Mike I saw that picture. It's beautiful and then with the 2 little doggies on top. I can't even imagine having the patience to do something like that.

Awwwwww, Mr GG. You're too kind!

Donald, thank you for visiting and commenting here! I was really pissed by the time I got done reading that entry of yours. Don't remind me about how close Christmas is!! It's coming too fast!

Good luck Ron! I hope that you have more patience than I. By the time we got to the decorating of it, I had had enough of it.

Our first attempt at a gingerbread house was a disaster, so yours looks great.
