Fire Up the Synapses - Cubed is On.

Grizzly Mama KNOWS it's scary - but we must look at the thing full in the face. Come along - we'll do it together.

Education and Jihad, Part VI.

This essay itemizes what has been done over the last century and a half to soften up our children for World Citizenship. The only problem is - it leaves them vulnerable to the philosophy of Islam. Moslems the world over are striving to create a world Caliphate. The fact that American children are getting such a crappy education leaves them unable to curb this threat. Heck - they don't even know right from wrong, good from bad anymore. Face it, Grizzly Mama is getting old and so are you. Soon we will have to leave the running of this country to the next generation. We must prepare now because they are not ready. They'll have to pry MY baton from my cold, dead hands rather than pass it off to what we are looking at right now.

In 1993, Howard Gardner, author of Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences said: “…the educational plans…help the society to achieve its larger goals…individuals with gifts in certain directions must nonetheless be guided along other, less favored paths, simply because the needs of the culture are particularly urgent in that realm at that time.”

Start with Martin Luther and his desire to establish government supported schools which spread through Europe and then across the Atlantic. Horace Mann continued this in America until the Catholics reared their ugly heads to establish a school system of their own. Many young American men left home in the mid 1800's and went to Germany for higher education where their thinking was influenced by Kant, Hegel and Marx - this they brought back to America. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching was founded - a promoter of socialism. Enter John Dewey, the 'father of progressive education'. By 1934, the NEA was actively promoting an “equitable distribution of income” as well as the view that the “major” function of education was to seek to give the student “understanding of the transition to a new social order”. Grizzly Mama says the NEA has been terribly busy putting out brochures and advocating for 'single world' this and 'single world' that. Damn the NEA to hell. The NEA doesn't seem to like separate, sovereign states - it's...what the heck was that...a system of international anarchy. Just go read - there's more about the NEA in there and it'll make you sick!

Here are a few of the major points:
  • The dumbing down of our children is a matter of deliberate public policy.

  • Revisionist history is being taught - lies of commission and omission are used.

  • Facts are not important. Feelings are.

  • The methods used, and the goal, is couched in terms that obscure their objective.

  • An initiative is underway to implement the use of the same textbooks worldwide. Informatick, a Moscow-based educational organization, and - you guessed it - the Carnegie Foundation are all over this one trying to make it happen.

  • The dumbing down not only blinds the kids to a socialist threat, it is blinding them to the Islamist threat as well.

  • "The tools developed by the Left to implement their globalist vision: Political Correctness, multiculturalism, and diversity, have prepared the path for Islam to gain foot in the door to our children’s minds. Islam is actively using all the methods that have traditionally been the weapons of the Left. It is one of the “diverse” cultures which must not be “discriminated against.”

We mustn't offend them either, isn't that right? Otherwise they'll chop our heads off. No cartoons allowed!!!

Cubed believes, as I do, that there is no hope for the government education system. Parents MUST remain actively involved and fully engaged in the education of their children. There are many options including homeschooling. At the very least check what their textbooks are saying, communicate your values and ideals, discuss when these values clash with what is being taught in school. (Nothin' for nothin' - just take them out of public school - it's easier than trying to constantly undo what is being done to them there.)

"It is no more or no less than brainwashing that our children are being subjected to in today’s schools. Further, it is not different in principle from the method used by Islam to produce "killbots," illiteracy, poverty, failure to thrive economically, and diminish creativity, happiness and hope for the future."

I get a taste of this every time I go over to a site that is run by/for Americans in the UK and Brits in America. I primarily go over to check legal things (they do give good advice for immigration and such), but I have absolutely no time for their philosophical or political beliefs.

I'd say, 99.9% (from the USA) of the people there are apologists for America and/or Americans. These are people who are probably, say 30ish on down.

All of them I would plunk down in the catagory of "It takes a village."

This is an example of what is coming out of our schools and universities today.

    Aarrgghh!!!

Scary isn't it Alicenot? What gets me is that these snot-nosed know-nothings really think they've got it all figured out. They don't. When push comes to shove they are not very well equipped to survive. They're soft and ignorant. Putty in the islamists hands - they'll be among the first to die because they don't believe that there is anything worth fighting for.

Yeah - it takes a village to raise an idiot, no doubt. Hilary Clinton sure knows what she's talking about...for a femi-nazi anyway.

Our kids are going to be brainwashed one way or another - I'd prefer to be the one to dictate what they learn and indoctrinate them with all sorts of crazy ideas...like THE TRUTH!

Some excellent points!! There are many reasons I homeschool but this quote is a big part of it:

"Revisionist history is being taught - lies of commission and omission are used."

Yes Troll - it brings back memories ofmy mother saying 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions'.

Thanks for visiting Dani - and I agree with you about the village thing. It takes loving parents to raise a child. The Hildebeast is one scary woman - can let HER take the reins.

LMC - thanks for visiting to you too! There are so many reasons that I homeschool and I add more and more every day it seems. Nothing I've seen or read or heard has convinced me to put my kids in public school and in fact our choice is validated every day.

The dumbing down has definitely been a conspiracy (ongoing, but with deep roots), with the specific goal of the one-world philosophy. For all the yapping about teaching critical-thinking skills, our public schools are nothing but instituions of leftist propaganda. I rather imagine that Martin Luther had no idea of where his ideas about education would lead.

    In Martin Luther's own words:

“I advise no one to place his child where the Scriptures do not reign paramount. Every institution in which men are not increasingly occupied with the Word of God must become corrupt. I’m afraid the schools will prove the very gates of hell, unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures and engraving them in the hearts of our youth.”

P.S. Monica - Great links too. Thanks!

I agree with you on that one AOW.

Dani - Martin Luther (God bless him) was as much into indoctrination as the leftys are. Although we attend Catholic church I am not a very good Catholic and one thing I determined early on is that I didn't want the girls in Catholic school. As you said in your earlier comment they will be indoctrinated one way or another so it may as well be with the truth.
