Grizzly Report: National Rally Against Islamofascism Day

The Troll and I participated in the rally in Pennsylvania on February 1, 2006. The United American Committee (UAC) held a rally nationwide protesting Islamofascism. Well - of COURSE we had to be there. We don't like Islamofascism - not one tiny little bit!

It was a small band of patriots there. We might have been small in number but we were strong and vocal. Troll and I had to leave before it was over but we were replaced by others who couldn't be there at the start. Dave and Barbara were there the entire time - thank you Dave and Barbara. It was a pleasure meeting you and spending time with you. We got a lot of attention up there at the train station in Lansdale. Lots of people honking their horns at us as they drove by with thumbs-up and smiles. Not everyone can stand on a corner in the middle of the day in the middle of the week now can they?! We can certainly support the ones who do - and the people driving by in their cars did just that. God bless them.

I was pleased to meet John from the Pennsylvania Minutemen, who was also there for the entire rally. Oh honey! You KNOW I support the Minuteman Project! To have a Minuteman organization in Pennsylvania is beyond even Grizzly Mama's wildest dream! Citizens. It is the citizen patriots of America who will save this country. God bless us, too!

Do you want to hear AND see something scary?! At the New York rally by Ground Zero there were protesters to the rally against islamofascism. They were nasty - here's a picture of them courtesy the UAC website:

Another HUMONGOUS thans to Always On Watch, who gave me the heads up about the rally and the organization that sponsored it. In regard to the rally protesters in NYC she has this up by a person who was there:You must see the protesters which met us at Ground Zero in New York City. They were chanting the name of Osama Bin Laden and yelling that Islamic law will replace democracy in America, keep in mind this was at Ground Zero and just shows why the UAC must exist.

OBL in the USofA?! I don't THINK so, Mohammed.

***UPDATE***

See The City Troll link below for some real eye-popping pics of muslims in London:

***UPDATE TWO***

My message sent to the White House in response to Kurtis Cooper's (of the State Department) statement of support for the rioting muslims:

Why is the Administration allowing the State Department to issue statements in support of Muslims who are rioting in the streets, against freedom of speech, and calling for beheading and a new holocaust? The statement of support from the Department of State is supportive of terrorist actions and I, a citizen of the United States of America, object!

I attempted to contact the Department of State directly but their server must have crashed as I was leaving my message.

They have more front than the Gates of Buckingham Palace! Image Westerners trying a similar thing in their homelands, they would be cut down and butchered by the crowds. Perhaps we our too civilised for our own good! The BNP guys walked free from court yesterday the jury found them not guilty of half the charges of inciting racial hatred against Islam! But the crown prosecution service is ordering a retrial against them on the charges the jury abstained on. They will probably try and find an all Muslim jury to lock them up!

I agree with Gina send them packing they are the enemy, and we should do the same here but the Government is to scared to offend the Islamic World. Have you seen the uproar in the Middle East and all Muslim community in Europe because a Danish newspaper has shown a cartoon with Mohamed with a bomb in his turban!

GM,

Speaking of Lansdale, do you ever shop at the Ikea on Alan Wood Road in Conshohocken? My wife loves that place, even though it's 331 miles from home. I don't remember if they sell Danish ham, but they have great Swedish meatballs.

I watched the protests in London and will blog about this tomorrow. So many FURIOUS people here and by that i mean, every single text-in, phone-in and email..in (dont think you say that!) shows the enormous public support for the european press...and this issue as a whole. Tomorrow Le Monde re publishes the cartoons :)

GREAT photo!

I'm beside myself with rage at this moment. The Department of State's Kurtis Cooper just issued a statement in support of the rioting muslims.

When I attempted to contact the State Department via web their website crashed.

I'm livid. I'm ready for a fight. BRING IT ON!!!!!!!

GM,

Here's what you probably would have gotten in reply if you had been able to access the State Dept. web site:

The official word from the US Dept. of State
03 February 2006
U.S. Government Calls Anti-Islamic Cartoons "Offensive"

But defends importance of freedom of expression for individuals, media

Washington -- The U.S. government agrees with Muslims that European cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist are "offensive," but protects the right of the media to publish such materials.

"We find them offensive. And we certainly understand why Muslims would find those images offensive," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said in his daily press briefing February 3.

"At the same time, we vigorously defend the right of individuals" to express views that the U.S. government may disagree with or condemn, he added.

"For us, freedom of expression is at the core of our democracy. And it is something that we have shed blood and treasure around the world to defend, and we will continue to do so," McCormack said.

One of the offending cartoons, originally published in Denmark, depicts the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb. Islam bans visual images of the prophet. Muslims around the world have condemned the cartoons, saying they fuel a prejudice that equates Islam with terrorism.

"[W]e would urge all parties to exercise maximum degree of understanding, the maximum degree of tolerance when they talk about this issue," McCormack said. He added that anti-Muslim images are as offensive as anti-Semitic and anti-Christian images and he expressed the hope that people would speak out with equal vigor against such images.

The diversity of people from different religious, ethnic and national backgrounds adds to the strength of the United States as a country, McCormack said. He said it important to recognize and appreciate those differences, as well as "protect the rights of individuals and the media to express a point of view concerning various subjects."

He noted that the Danish prime minister has expressed his distress at the problems the cartoons have caused. The Danish newspaper that originally published them has apologized for doing so.

Sam,

Now if you just screw up an election, US Senator Bob Bennett (R) Utah will sic the Federal Protective Service on your family in an attempt to shut you up.

I'm intrigued. What's this all about?

Good to see you among the living.

Monica

I was unable to get to NYC as I got creamed with cases at work. I also have mixed emotions about going to Ground Zero as I was blown up there in 93 and across the street on 9-11.

Did you see a band of kooks handing out conspiracy pamphlets.
There is a blonde idiot who resembles Harpo Marx . If you ever want to freak them out just go over to him and say. Comrade Roman
Inspector Beakerkin sends his best wishes. A friend of mine did that and they ran . They think I am with counter intelligence.

Gina - I have had it up to my eyeballs with the muz's crap. I'm ready to ship them all away. I will be happy to let you know about anything coming up.

Sparky - glad to hear that the BNP guys were released. It is getting scary over there across the water!

Alan - I haven't been to IKEA for over 10 years. I bought something there once and it didn't have all the pieces. Exchanged it and still did not have all the pieces. Did it again - STILL not all the pieces. I was disgusted with IKEA but I like LOTS of their stuff. It's inconvenient to get there for us.

tshsmom - check out the link to Troll's protesters in London. THAT is some sh!t there - it will send you over the edge.

Thanks DV.

Thanks Alison. As always I will be checking with my UK friends to get news of what's happening since the NYT doesn't consider what's happening newsworthy.

Alan thanks for the full statement from the State Department. It's not QUITE as bad as I had thought - but I still think it's pussy. They do not represent MY views and I believe most Americans views if they only knew what the hell was happening! LOL!

Samwich - thanks for visiting. I'm sorry to hear about all of your troubles.

Beakerkin - 'Comrade Roman
Inspector Beakerkin sends his best wishes.'
LOL! OMG - I will have to write that down and keep it in my purse. I'll do it! LOL!

Wow, you sound not too different from what I was like in the 1st grade. "They were nasty"? How shallow. You're really just racist and intolerant. This isnt your country - ONLY. About 300 million other people inhabit it, and guess what - they were - or are - almost all immigrants! So be realistic and open your mind. You have no choice.
