Happy Fourth of July
One of my favorite holidays! This year I'm completely blasted after having worked 11 nights in a row - - but when it was time to BBQ and see the fireworks I was up and ready to enjoy.
I always take a moment during the fireworks to think of the millions of people all over the United States celebrating the birth of our nation. Small towns and big cities - mostly small towns I think. Every 4th of July at some point I tell the girls, "Thank God every day that you were born in the United States of America." And then I think to myself what happens to girls and women in many other countries.

I had to work the 4th this year. I didnt get it off. Something tells me as long as I am at McD's I wont have a holiday off. LOL.. Yikes huh??
That sucks! You will be getting away from that horrible place soon, Tweetey!
Monica,
Don't you just love fireworks?
My neighborhood had some more fun with fireworks a few nights ago, several days after July 4th.
Sometimes we even set off a few fireworks at 12:01 AM on January 1st.
AOW,
I absolutely ADORE fireworks! The patriotic band music, the grand finale - - it just gives me goosebumps every single time.
At Longs Park in Lancaster they actually fire cannons off, too!
We need to travel across state lines to get some decent fireworks. We did that for our wedding waaaaayy back.
