More Evidence That The Kids Are In Charge
An Obama Administration photo-op gone awry. Apparently they wanted to update the file photo of Air Force One. The dumbasses in charge of this thing buzzed the New York City skyline in this giant jet, flying at low altitude with an F-16 fighter jet in hot pursuit.
This video, seen at Breitbart.com, shows how low Air Force One was flying and you can feel the panic in the air.
They didn't even have the decency to inform Mayor Bloomburg. In this article, found at WSJ Online, it was said that "People watched in horror as a massive aircraft, trailed closely by an F-16 fighter jet, banked and roared low near the city, in a frightening echo of the events of Sept. 11, 2001."
Just another hash mark to put in the column of 'minuses' when we take stock of how the Obama Administration has conducted itself.
It's a shame. The people of New York City have been through enough, for Gawd's sake. Some dickwanker wants a cool picture of the pretty plane, so who cares? I can't even imagine how the people who voted for Obama are feeling right now - perhaps a bit embarassed? Ashamed of the asinine choice that they made?

I, unfortunately, believe it happened because the kids in charge are just plain STUPID!
This was so dumb it's unbelievable--you'd be hearing about this for weeks if this happened under Bush. Instead the "big" news of the day is a RINO Arlen Specter crossing party lines and going Democrat--gimme a break!
Amen to that, Mr GG!
Let's keep an eye on ATW

Red - Certainly Andrew had a right to turn comments off on his posts. I'm not sure why that offends you so much. But good luck with your blog - enjoy yourselves. In my opinion you already are what you accuse David and Andrew of being - namely intolerant of other views and narrow minded.
Hey there. First time I have heard any of this. First of all we dont havea converter box so that would explain some of the news.. LOL.. Anyway I am sorry this has to happen to our nation again if its going to.. yikes..
Hi Tweetey. It wasn't widely reported on any news stations. I saw it on Drudgereport. Good to hear from you again!
"certainly Andrew had a right to turn comments off on his posts."
For sure. And I have a right to turn them right back on, so to speak.
I'm not intolerant at all, I just don't like bullies and I think everyone should be allowed their say once they refrain from trolling and personal attacks.
Alison and DSD have launched vicious personal attaks on other commenters, while people who have remained calm and polite have been banned. It's wrong.
I think that starting the blog of your own was a good idea, Red. It is a place where you know that you will have your say.
I have been attacked in the comments at ATW. For the most part, I would say that most commenters there - although holding opposing views on highly charged subjects - are not as bad as I've seen elsewhere.
You, yourself, have been known to throw a few zingers and I admit that I've thrown a few myself. I haven't noticed any undue unfairness in the banning of certain persons. I'm sure that you will practice your right to ban people on your blog when you get sick of hearing their mindless crap over and over again.
Thanks for the reply!
A lot of people have been petitioning David to get rid of the liberals and lefties, as they have grown in number recently. This, despite the fact that they have no broken the rules.
Irish Barry is fine example. Mild mannered and calm is how I'd describe is reaction to vicious attaks from regulars.
These people want to keep Noel and Frank, and even Daytripper so the appearance of a diversity of views remains. In short, they'll tolerate two or three liberals but that's about it.
They should be more upfront about it.
P.S. I won't be banning anyone.
Irish Barry is a fine example of a completely obnoxious person who doesn't make many salient points.
I have never petitioned David to get rid of anybody. Troll had some problems with a commenter a long time ago at ATW who threatened to turn us in to social services for homeschooling our kids. Apparently they weren't aware that homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, but the point it - there is no reason to do that to someone just because they disagree with you. This same person was doing other things as well - that is also part of what got them banned.
If you get a commenter who is harassing you, and trying to come after you personally - then I think that is a good reason to ban them. I have also seen people make comments pretending to be someone else. I hope that if that happens to you on your blog that you ban them.
That was a nasty remark about the home schooling, aprart from being none of her business.
Typhoo was a litte nutty and was deservedly banned.
Barry is different. He makes some provocative comments but he is not rude or obnoxious, IMHO.
I respect you and Troll because you are straight up people. That I completely disagree with most of what you say is irrelevant. It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. It's a matter of allowing proper debate and not throwing out people because they've ruffled the feathers of a few regulars. That's BS.
I agree with most of what you've said, Red. I think I must have missed the exchanges that prompted the 'to-do' over at ATW. I see that the comments are moderated now as well, and I don't believe that David would do that for no good reason.
Been busy.. That suck though.. I mean where are the parents when it comes to stuff like this..
Barack Obama is a stupid person. This was so obvious, I am still reeling from his being elected president. This dip s--t has no idea of what to or not to do at any given time. But, the majority spoke so it's gonna be an interesting four (or more) years. Too bad; so sad.
Amen to that, CA. He might be well educated but the man has no sense at all! NONE!
