Grizzly Mama is back in charge.

Back in charge of the house.

Grizzly Papa displayed a courageous attitude and mounted a valiant effort to run the house. He's quite bad at it.

I will be very busy over the next few days fixing it.

God bless you, Papa. The cubs and I love you anyway! You're a good Papa.

I used to get really mad about this subject, but then I realized that men just aren't wired that way. Organizational skills and multi-tasking just aren't a man's forte!
I'm learning(trying real hard) to accept my hubby's shortcomings in these areas as part of his maleness. He's got a LOT of strengths that we need to concentrate on. Like you said; they're GREAT Daddys!!

In general, we just suck at homemaking. Not purposefully- I think it's just biological. If I ran a family on a nuts-and-bolts level daily, it'd fall apart like the more historically impotent nomadic empires after the death of the king. Things would just become chaotic, and members of the family would claim different rooms as their own personal fiefdoms.

PERFECT description, Steven! My hubby even laughed at this one.

Awwwww Scott - were you in charge of the house, then?

You are right it would be easy to get mad. One thing I've learned (much to the dismay of some feminists..) is that running the house is very important and quite a bit of power comes with the job. What he does well is just as important to the family.

You need professional help, Bruiser.

When I got back after a month of visiting my oldest and seeing my newest grandson born (who is beautiful, I might add), I came back to a semi-clean home. Krip, bless was starting to turn our home back into a bachelors' pad. Primarily it was the dust. His adversion TO dusting. Oh, and to two dozen yellow roses. I forgave him for the dust.

As for the nasty post that I received from a member of the I Hate Bush Squad, I deleted him because, well as Bubba once remarked..."because I could."

I had no idea Krip had a blog, Alicenot. I will have to link him, too!!

A little bit of dust is not much to worry about you are right - especially after the roses.

I've left Bruisers comment up just because I'd like everyone to see the new face of the Democrat party. It's ugly I know - but we have to be brave!! We have to look at it and know it! Plus - he sounds really whacky and it's sort of funny...

Back from Maui, my own love Who Must Be Obeyed really does rule, like Pele -- especially now when things are really changing for her. I bow to the difference, and sometimes just duck when things fly, glad that it's not 10,000-degree molten rock.
People gotta learn, Pele rules.
