My Hometown
Looking at the Left has a nice montage showing a hardy band of patriots protesting the so-called 'stimulus' bill that Obama signed into law out in Denver the other day.
Colorado is a bad case of Red gone Blue. Is it all the damn transplants that moved to Denver from the East and West coasts? Even some of the natives have turned to socialism - as is evident in certain members of my very own family. Others haven't lost their minds, though. I have a few siblings - and atleast one parent - remaining who hold fast to their patriotic, American Republic loving principles.
Since I didn't see any news of protests in our MainStreamMedia, I had thought there was no one left willing to stand up in Denver. I was wrong - and thank goodness for that!
It looked like a typical, beautiful, winter day in Denver. Just like I remember - skies so blue and sun so bright that it would hurt your eyes. Miss those mountains - miss 'em something terrible. Although - even the mountains aren't the same as when I was a kid. Crowded. Graffiti. Traffic jams. Shame what's happened to Colorado... In more ways than one.
Well - I say to my leftist relatives ===> He's your guy. Watch and remember what you've done to our country. Things are going to get nasty, but it will be a slow, painful kind of nasty - until it's just so damn nasty that we may never come back from the brink.

What does this mean to us home schoolers?? I have heard so damned much about it. I have heard horror stories on what he wants to do to us homeschoolers. He wants to stop that from what I have heard. I refuse to send the girls to school. I just refuse. Why send the girls to school when they are going to get bullied and picked on and everything else. What does the President care about that and what we teach our children.
I agree, Rev. I'm hoping that there are a lot more people out there who know better...
I don't think that homeschooling is targeted in this bill, Tweetey. But I am concerned that it will be on the agenda in the future for this administration and democrat congress. Did you see that in Illinois - a member of the legislature is proposing requiring million dollar insurance polcies if people want to own a firearm? This is going to be the mentality that we will start to see on a federal level with the democrats I fear. Bad craziness.
I knew it was going to get bad but just how bad I did not know when Obama became President..
You know guys my oldest has told me she doesnt want to go back to public schools. She likes it at home. She likes her 3 hours a day and then playing the rest. Next year we will hit the books harder with more introduced. She needs some history in her lessons. but this year we are working on her writing skills, reading and math where she is struggling and such.

Tweetey, even with history and science added in - she will learn so much more in so much less time than if she were in school.
My girls are finding out how much wasted time is involved in school. And they are not getting the science and history as they were at home, and when they DO have a science or history class it is very boring to them. Science and history were their favorite subjects at home.

Colorado suffered the calamity and sin of being beautiful and attracting the Beautiful People who are pretty and wealthy but not bright, they are conceited and usually all wrong. So wrong that they have to cover it up with their money. In California it's been going on like that for so long people forget...
