The Grizzly Cubs worked their butts off and finished everything up yesterday. You just know old Grizzly Mama was working her butt off, too.
Troll and I were able to take Skye up on her invitation to the IVC First Wednesday meeting. We didn't scare anyone off this time! Perhaps that's because we were late and missed the food. I think the more likely reason is that we met a really fine group of people who had no problem discussing differing viewpoints. If we can't disagree and still have a good time, then I'm leaving! Well - we had a great time and barely got home in time to relieve the babysitter.

Yayyy girls for your mom and finishing school so nicely and kicking butt to finish. Go girls. Sounds like you had a good year. Keep it up and have some fun this summer with your parents.
Now this other thing sounds like you guys had some fun yourself. Is that a pix of you and your husband with Sky? Just wondering.

We are all so happy to have the break from school.
Koras last day is Monday at 12:15. That is there half way mark through the day. Then we are done and we are still really considering home schooling this fall. The only money I will have to spend this year is to get my library card back and a little bit on gas money to get us to the library. Other wise its going to be free this year or online with a sight I found for her. Well enough of that. Nice photo of you guys. Thanks for sharing.

The Tai Chi demonstration in the lobby was the icing on the cake.
Monica and Troll - "Mr & Mrs Smith" will always have an open invitation to this IVC event.

I enjoyed meeting our invited guests from abroad and chatting with some of the membership of IVC. As Troll has mentioned, the membership consists of many individuals of a certain political stripe. At this event, we were able to discuss opinions openly and still managed to get along. Try something like that at a local Code Pink meeting...
I want everyone to note that the overused mantra by the left regarding the popularity of the US and its citizens has no basis in fact. Anyone who makes this statement has obviously never attended an IVC First Wednesday Meet & Greet.
BTW - I still am having issues posting cell phone photos to MidnightBlue.
Huge congrats on finishing school!! Believe me, I know what an accomplishment that is. And I'm glad you, Troll and Skye had such a good time and a great experience.
Tweetey - perhaps there are homeschooling support groups in your area? You may find a lot of support there. Good luck - and of course we'll be communicating!

Isn't finished-with-school a wonderful feeling?
Alas! I have to start planning for next year now. Mr. AOW and I take our annual road trip in late August/early September.
It is, AOW. It still hasn't worn off and we wake up in the morning with that feeling of, 'Yippee we're free!!' The last 6 weeks were incredibly intense.
