A prayer and a thought

I offer up a prayer for Terri Schiavo and her family. God - please grant them comfort and peace and strength.

It's a sad day in America when a human being is not represented fairly in a court of law. When that person is sentenced to death with so many unanswered questions hanging in the air. Death Row criminals get better treatment in our country than a helpless woman does.

Don't know if you noticed, but the part of Kathleen Parker's quote on my blog about her becoming "a mama grizzly" also links to you. :-)

I noticed that Abe! LOL! That was cute and thanks again.

It may be time to ask the question 'What would a grizzly do?' I would be insane by now if it were my daughter.

This is nothing new is it though? It brings to mind that woman who's daughter had been sexually abused by her ex-husband and she ended up in jail for several years while her daughter was in hiding. The state ruled against her and she gave up everything to keep her kid safe.

The state does NOT always know best. As a matter of fact - the state RARELY knows what's best it seems.

Hi, I post at ITM and I read your post about Terri there. I wrote a poem a few days ago that was read on the air in Topeka, and I felt you might like to read it.

Jedati thank you for the link and for visiting. I will be putting it in an entry soon - it is a great poem.

It is frightening to think that a shit of a husband, a willing judge and a couple of doctors (even with affidavits from doctors who disagree with the dx) can sentence one to a horrifying death.
