Close Encounter With An Angry Black Moslem

It all happened last night at the neighborhood store. We were minding our own business when my friend noticed an angry scene right outside the window. It was a black, bearded male screaming at a young lady - only inches from her face - as she described it later. I didn't notice it - - I usually don't notice things that aren't right in front of my face, and besides, I was gabbing. Anyhoo - she went out to break things up and see if the young lady was alright.

The next thing I know, a black male is in the store and yelling at us that a girl had asked him for dope, why would she do that? Because he was BLACK - he screamed. Only because he was black. I figured, Hey! This guy is upset. We must listen to him and possibly he will calm down. We were sympathetic at first and said - who knows why she asked you that question? It's unfortunate that she obviously made a mistake in judgement of character, but try to calm down. He became wildly loud and started screaming at us that it was because he was black! He started getting his face close to my friends face, screaming at the top of his lungs, sauntering, spittle forming, head bobbing. That was it. He's dealing with 2 women - both of us 43 - both of us with an attitude - both of us in the throes of perimenopause - neither one of us believing that bullies ought to be treated with kidgloves.

STOP SCREAMING AT US - WE DID NOTHING TO YOU. CALM DOWN. We're both yelling. I have a snapshot memory picture of the customers in line at the ATM machine, frozen in place, shocked faces with mouths hanging open, watching.

The man continued to scream, louder and louder. IF HE WASN'T BLACK WE WOULDN'T BE DISSING HIM. YOU'RE ALL RACIST, YOU'RE ALL THE SAME - disgusted look on his face - CRACKERS!

Yes. He called us 'crackers'. LOL! (Who the hell talks like that anymore?) Both of us screaming at him - WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'YOU'RE ALL'?? DO YOU MEAN ALL WHITES? WE'RE WHITE SO WE'RE PREJUDICED? WE NEVER CALLED YOU ANY NAMES - WE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT YOU OR THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN! YOU'RE UPSET, YELLING, COMING IN HERE AND CALLING US RACIST AND CRACKERS.

Then. I recognized him. I went to that store a couple of weeks ago at about midnight. The owner is in there working alone and I was in line with an armload of stuff. He walks in - and steps right in line in front of me. I told him - 'I am in line. You need to move. I was here first.' The barrage of abuse began. Talking his shit about 'Oh I'm black. He won't hire me because I'm black.' Then to the owner, 'C'mon - hire me - I'm black and blacks clean bathrooms.' I told him, 'Just move out of my way because I was here first.' He moved but continued with the abuse, making comments about my anniversary ring and my wedding ring, how I must be rich but the owner won't hire him because he's black. I looked at the owner and rolled my eyes and skedaddled.

But - here he was again. And talking his same stuff, but this time it was different. He was screaming and accusing us of being racist and of 'dissing' him. Calling us names. He started attempting to insult us, saying it was obvious we had no college degree. (?) My friend went ballistic. Right there in front of God and everyone - she had really had it: YOU DON'T KNOW ME. YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO BE COMING IN HERE, GETTING IN MY FACE, SCREAMING AT ME - WE DID NOTHING TO YOU. And she kept on going - right in his face. All 5 foot nothing of her. He picked the wrong women this time.

We called 911. Another of our friends called on her cell phone - and she backed us up, too. She stood right there with us and didn't back down. The 911 operator heard him screaming in the background.

A little old man - frail as hell, just wanting to get his scratch off lotto tickets paid, stood up for us. He has to be close to 80 - the only one in the store besides the trio of small, white, females who would dare to speak up against his abuse. He screamed at the top of his lungs - 'STOP YELLING AT THESE GIRLS!!!' 'STOP IT!'

And our neighborhood Boys in Blue were there. Three of them. God bless them. Our angry black moslem got right into the first cop's face, yelling and raising his hand to him. He was in cuffs pretty soon and then he calmed down. He said he didn't yell at us at all. Adrenaline still pumping we all screamed YES YOU DID - DON'T YOU LIE - YOU'RE LYING NOW. My friend: I'LL PRESS CHARGES ON YOUR ASS AND BE SITTING RIGHT UP FRONT IN COURT. He's outta there. We're trying to calm down, adrenaline rush is furious.

The little girl, whom he had originally been screaming at out front, came back with her brother. Sweet kids. Teenagers. We told her that he was taken away in cuffs and how crazy he got with us. She was really scared and insisted that she had not asked him for any dope or anything. She was standing out there waiting for her brother to come out of the store and this guy pulled up, got out of his car and started screaming at her. She said his spit got all over her face. She was a black girl, which normally I wouldn't bother with skin color, but it was the whole issue with the crazy guy. He was black and she was a racist.

It came to light that another employee of the store had some encounters with this guy. Once, the crazy guy asked the employee what was in the kielbasa - and the employee answered that it was a pork product. He started screaming at the employee: WHY YOU SAY THAT???! IT'S JUST BECAUSE I'M A MUSLIM THAT YOU SAID PORK. WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT JUST BECAUSE I'M A MUSLIM? Screaming again.

I wonder if his imam is this guy?

We women talked about this last night and today - we're all very upset about it. It was uncomfortable to say the least. We all agree that it is time to stop casting our eyes down and turning our faces away from this type of abuse. The way this man conducted himself is completely unacceptable. I'm tired of it. I am tired of blacks accusing me of being a racist merely because I am white. I will not abide militant black prison convert moslems believing that I should bow down to them. It aint gonna happen.

I can be crazy, too. I can be a crazy bitch if I need to be. Bring it on.

We also remarked that it is the old men who stand up. It is only the old men who are first to stand up - the veterans - the ones who fought in the big war. They are the only ones who will stand up besides the peri-menopausal women in life. The young kids coming up - what they're learning is to pretend the bad isn't there, ignore and it will go away, draw a picture and wear a bracelet, kiss the bully's ass, be punished for standing up for themselves.

Self defense is a human right.

Sheer Dedication Pays Off Over Time

B-List Blogger

The High Authority Group [B-List Bloggers]
(100-499 blogs linking in the last 6 months)
The third group represents a decided shift in blog age while not blogging much more frequently than the last. In keeping with the theme of the maturation of the blogosphere, it seems evident that many of these bloggers were previously in category two and have grown in authority organically over time. In other words, sheer dedication pays off over time.

That's not too shabby for an old Grizzly Mama!

Aesop's Fable Friday

The Flies and the Honey-pot

A swarm of Flies found a Honey-pot which had been upset and would not leave the spot while there was a single drop left.

After a while the honey even stuck to their feet and wings and they could not fly away.

Then they cried, "What stupid creatures we are! For a short hour of pleasure we have thrown away our lives!"

Moral of the story: The greedy never know when they have had enough.

Happy Black Friday. I'm sure as heck not out there shopping this weekend! In fact, I plan on doing a lot of my shopping online. No tax and many times no shipping charges.

Gratitude

n. (L. gratus, pleasing: see Grace) a feeling of thankful appreciation for favors or benefits received; thankfulness.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! We will be doing up the pies soon. Then off to that gorgeous dinner at Mom-Moms on the big day. There is just nothing like leftover turkey, is there? I also have a free turkey (earned with 'points' at the local supermarket..) in the freezer, and I will smoke that out on the Weber next week. The gravy comes so nice with my smoked turkey. Mmmmmmmm.

I feel that feeling of gratitude every day. Troll and I have been through some real hard times together. We made it. We're okay - - more than okay! We have worked hard in our lives and will continue to do so, God willing. No matter what, we know that we will have what we truly need. Here are some things that I am grateful for:

1. I am so glad to have been born an American.

2. My little family.

3. My friends.

4. All of the people in my life who are good. I know a lot of decent human beings.

5. My health, the health of my family members.

6. I thank God that the right to teach our children is recognized in the law.

I wish you all a beautiful and full Thanksgiving day. God bless you and God bless America.

Aesop's Fable Friday

The Peacock and the Crane

A Peacock teased a Crane about the dullness of his plumage. "Look at my brilliant colors," said he, "and see how much finer they are than your poor feathers."

"I am not denying," replied the Crane, "that yours are far brighter than mine; but when it comes to flying I can soar into the clouds, whereas you are confined to the earth like any plain chicken."

Moral of the story: Looks aren't everything.

Whew! That crane really gave it back to him, didn't he? Not only did he put the knife in, but he gave it an extra turn!

You're The Best Mommy In The Whole Wide World.

My girls tell me this sometimes. Mostly I tell them, 'No! I am the luckiest mommy in the whole wide world!' Sometimes I say, 'What about all those times when I'm a total b*t*h?!' They just laugh. They're awful sweet.

They deserve the best mommy in the whole wide world. Unfortunately I have my not-so-best mommy moments - as we all do. If I'm tired or stressed or feeling overwhelmed. Then I might holler. Or sometimes I'm engrossed in some activity and I'm not listening like I should be.

I always try to remember what my mother tells me, 'Enjoy them - because they will be grown up and gone before you know it.'

I do enjoy them. I like being around my kids. I do my best for them - like I know that most of us do.

We usually end these conversations with an agreement that we are the best family in the entire universe!

Yes, Virginia Monica, There is a Santa Claus Skin Cancer.

Public Service Announcement:

Go to that Dermatologist and get your body check!

Grizzly Mama continues to be plagued with diagnoses of bizarre afflictions. The truth in the matter is that if caught early enough these little things can be taken care of toot-sweet. A couple of stitches and a scar - so what? It is the price to be paid for being fair skinned, blonde and a native of Colorado. We're outdoorsy over there in CO. Colorado doesn't have the benefit of that haze like we have here in Philly. Back when I was coming up we put oil on our skin to attract even more rays. Now you young'uns know that's silly. We didn't back in the day. Sun was good for you back then.

No Aesop's Fable Friday.

Because today is my oldest daughter's birthday. I see that she shares a birthday with the United States Marine Corps and Roy Scheider. She is in good company!

Ten years old. God bless my girls - they are so good and strong and smart. I am the luckiest Grizzly Mama in the whole wide world. I got the best 2 girls on the planet!

Time is flying by so fast. My father told me, when I was about 10, that time just keeps going faster and faster the older you get. Yikes.

Happy Birthday to my big girl.

Rummy. We hardly knew ye.

Not Rummy, too.

*sigh*

I don't have it in me to be very positive right now. I am trying. New beginning. Opportunity to procure good, strong, conservative leadership in my party. Blah. blah. blah.

Mike at Mike's America has the idea. Let us wrest something positive out of this. Look to the future.

(Although I have to say I never was very impressed with that little doughboy, Hastert. Also - Frist always reminded me of a slightly creepy undertaker.)

***UPDATE***

I am all about 'feeling better'. I will start to add links here that aid in obtaining that objective. Along with my positive friend Mike, whose link is shown above, here the 'feeling better' (please note that while some of these links are not overly optimistic - they DID put a smile on my face) links will start:

I am voting. Are you?

C'mon now. Get on up off of that duff. Head on over to the polling place and have your say. You'll probably get some coffee and doughnuts as a prize.

May I also suggest voting Republican? If you:

1. Care about keeping taxes low - go for the Republican lever.
2. Care about continuing the global fight against islamofascists - Republican.
3. Want no amnesty for illegal immigrants - Republican.
4. Want the NSA to continue surveillance of terrorist communications - Republican.
5. Want the border wall to be funded - Republican.
6. Care about recognition of parental rights - Republican.

Totally Subjective Grizzly Report - 'Obsession' on FoxNews

Thank you FoxNews for airing this important documentary.

Some of the people interviewed:
Nonie Darwish, daughter of an Egyptian 'Shahid', and founder of Arabs For Israel.

Alan Dershowitz, Professor at Harvard Law School.

Steven Emerson, Executive Director of The Investigative Project.

Brigette Gabriel, Christian survivor of the civil war in Lebanon and founder of American Congress for Truth.

Caroline Glick, Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern Affairs at The Center for Security Policy

The late Alfons Heck, a former Hitler Youth Officer.

Khaleel Mohammed, Professor at San Diego State University. (A side note - Jihadwatch and Professor Mohammed have apparently gone at it tooth and nail in the recent past.)

My main man, Daniel Pipes.

Walid Shoebat, former PLO terrorist.

Khaled Abu Toameh, Palestinian journalist from the Jerusalem Post.

There are several others interviewed and they all combined to make a very interesting, if sobering, documentary on radical islam and what we Americans need to know about it.

After discussing it with Troll, I informed the girlies that I would be watching it, what it was about, and letting them know that they were welcome to watch it with me but they didn't have to. The girlies are quite sophisticated and we have had many discussions about some pretty heavy-hitting subjects. Radical islam and the War on Terror being just one of those subjects.

So we sat down with our bowl full of pistachios and a nut-cracker for the more difficult ones and watched with an open mind. I will point out that E.D. Hill said many times that, of course, the 'moderate muslims' are not what is depicted in this hour long look at the brutal truth. We are still searching in hope for 'moderate muslims' here in Philly - I haven't given up but my heart is starting to sink.

Anyhoo - some things that popped out at me and I jotted down were the many comparisons between Radical Islam and Nazism. There are quite a lot of similarities, the main one being the wish to eradicate Jews from the face of the planet.

Jihad (Inner Struggle) = Mein Kampf (My Struggle)

There was a part that dealt with the contradictory statements by some moslems. For example, Anjem Choudary Al Muhajiroun, who condemned 9-11 and then called the killers the 'magnificent 9' in a different venue. They used Yasser Arafat as an example of that, too.

The islamofascist terrorists are here in our midst. They want to make islam the law of the land. They call our Freedom of Expression a 'loophole'. A 'loophole', eh? It's much more than a 'loophole' to me and to all Americans. It is a God given right and men paid for the recognition of that right with blood. But you see how they view our most precious of freedoms. Brigitte Gabriel pointedly said that they are using our laws against us, and I believe that Nonie Darwish emphasized that as well.

Abu Hamza - that crazy hookhanded blind imam, has taught that the 'kaffir' (that's us...) are like cows. They view us as they view a cow, something to be sold or killed at their whim. He says, "It's okay!"

Ms. E.D. Hill questioned Wayne Kopping, the director of the movie, about coming up with the disturbing tapes from islamic countries' press. Well, she wanted to know how many hours did he have to view and was it difficult to find the anti-Americanism that they showed here. According to him what is shown here is just the tip of the iceberg. Are there no voices of moderation in these countries? The TV stations are all run by extremists in Arab countries and Iran. Alright, so I seem to recall an editor in an islamic country being jailed recently. Couldn't remember what for so I googled 'editor jailed mohammed' and 'editor jailed islamic' and, sheesh. There are just so many it's hard to fathom. Terrible.

Onward and upward. The 'root causes' of terrorism and the call to 'understand' them. Here is what there is to understand, according to our panel of experts, and in the words of the imams preaching to their flocks:

What do they want?
1. To kill Jews.
2. Another holocaust.
3. First the Jews, then the Christians, then the Buddhists, then the Hindus.
4. Islamization of the entire world.
5. Domination over other religions.
6. Domination of the world.

When it was over, the girls had quite a lot to say. I emphasized that not all moslems are islamofascist terrorists. (We have to remember that even just a small percentage of moslems being islamofascist terrorists is a hell of a lot of terrorists, though.) This attitude of hate and blame toward the West, Israel and America in particular, is out there and being acted upon by religiously driven preachers and their cult of death is being handed down to their children. There is a danger out there and that is why we are at war. We must be aware of it, support our leaders who are committed to fighting and winning this war, and not be afraid. The things in the documentary that bothered them the most:

1. Watching the American flag be trampled upon and burned.
2. The Statue of Liberty being portrayed as a skeleton in an Iranian commercial.
3. Sharon being depicted as a devil.
4. Small children talking about Jews as pigs and animals.
5. Small children glorifying being a suicide bomber.

I told them that Americans burn our flag as a protest and that it is not illegal. It is not something that I could ever do - but it is not illegal. The Iranian leaders and mullahs really hate the USA. They blame us for everything that is wrong in their society - yet see no problem with hanging a young lady for being a victim of a crime. We talked about how kids are taught in America that life is what is important. Life and love. The children in most islamic countries are taught that death is what they are to love. I am sure that this documentary will come up in conversation with the girlies over the next several weeks. These things always do. The girls will probably mull it over and pop out with some observation about it sometime in the near future.

The movie will be shown again on FoxNews at 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning. It will air again at 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Sunday evening. All times are Eastern Standard Time.

What we are facing is no small thing. I have been told that islamofascist terrorism is a figment of my imagination by several leftys out there. They are wrong.

Oh! The old Grizzly Mama was so engrossed in what she was doing that she forgot to give the hat tip to Mike's America because that's where I saw that Obsession would be aired. Thank you, Mike!

Aesop's Fable Friday

The Crab and the Fox

A Crab once left the seashore and went and settled in a meadow some way inland, which looked very nice and green and seemed likely to be a good place to feed in.

But a hungry Fox came along and spied the Crab and caught him.

Just as he was going to be eaten up, the Crab said, "This is just what I deserve; for I had no business to leave my natural home by the sea and settle here as though I belonged to the land."

Moral of the story: Be happy with what you have.

Here I go again. I have to disagree with that moral. Seems to me it ought to be something like, 'Only fools try to be what they are not.'

About the Author - Aesop

Aesop is thought to have lived from the end of the sixth to the seventh centuries, BC. He was a slave but he told such a good story that he was freed. Everyone loved his stories and he was even invited by kings to tell the stories in their courts. He lived in ancient Greece. Not all of his stories were of Greek origin, though. Some may have come from other countries as well as earlier times. Aesop liked to give human characteristics to animals.

That's all I've got. Hope it's true!
